Yes, the DIY kit is designed to allow you to modify your own analog gear, including most LA2A recreation compressors, as well as other analog gear. Please ensure you provide us with the analog hardware details to confirm compatibility with the knobs, switches, and buttons. You may need to extend the case depending on the available room inside the equipment, which is the responsibility of the customer.

Yes, our modified Teletronix LA-2A and Warm Audio WA2A compressors, as well as the plugin, are compatible with any DAW, available as VST plugins, AU Audio Units, and AAX (Pro-Tools) plugins. They are fully compatible with Windows and MacOS, including support for M1 Silicon.
You will need a computer running Windows or MacOS (including M1 Silicon) and a DAW that supports VST plugins, AU Audio Units, or AAX (Pro-Tools) plugins. The modified analog gear will connect to your computer via USB, and our custom plugin will allow you to control the hardware directly from your DAW.
The plugin allows you to add a device to multiple tracks in your DAW and take over and recall settings for that specific track. This feature is particularly useful for freezing and bouncing tracks without losing your settings, ultimately saving you time when using a single device multiple times in a session.
Yes, we are continually working on expanding our plugin to support additional analog gear, and we will release updates to the plugin as we add compatibility for new products. We are also developing a mapping tool for DIY customers so they can build their own plugins for any modified analog equipment.
